Bend, Oregon has over 100,000 residents but apparently not many who can reupholster a chair. I looked on Reddit for recommendations — there is a man who did a decent job, a couple of folks agreed, but was very pushy with religious pamphlets. I found a website for an upholsterer who had a waitlist. I typed my name and waited.
